My husband took my oldest son fishing and camping this weekend, and I had an open house.
Fortunately, it was an open house with lots of activity. In the middle of showing a couple through the house, my phone started to ring with my husband’s tone. He knew I was in the middle of an open house, and I wondered why he would call so I headed down to my phone.
“You’re son really wants to talk to you.” My little boy got on the phone, and says, “I just caught my first edible fish. It’s a catfish, and it’s one of my happiest moments, and I wanted to share it with you!”
How happy was I that I took this phone call? Sure, work is important, and I spend a lot of time taking care of my clients. Still, it’s important to take time for your family too, and those three minutes were pricess to me and my son.
So, I will continue to take care of my clients, and I can still take time for my family too. Clients are people too. They know I’m not just an agent. That doesn’t mean I don’t take great care of them. Am I a 24/7 agent? I’m not, and don’t believe it’s necessary to be the right choice for my clients.
Do you take time for the important things?
