Active Rain Meet Up in Newport Oregon with Todd Clark
One of the great things about being part of Active Rain is the opportunity to network with other great people in the real estate industry.
Over the last couple of years I’ve been fortunate to get to know several of these talented and knowledgeable people online and by phone. I’ve also had the opportunity to meet several Active Rainers in person. Today, I met another Active Rainer in person, Mr. Million Points himself, Todd Clark.
He and his family drove out to meet us on the Oregon Coast in Newport, very different from the Newport Beach I’m familiar with in California.
Newport, OR is a beautiful place with a bay full of sea lions, lighthouses, and cute shops along the bay, much like Newport Beach, CA might have been decades ago.
We had a great dinner at Mo’s. The fish was tasty, the prices reasonable, and the kids got sharks. It’s always good to have a local show you the right place to go.
Then we walked over to the sea lions and finally topped off the evening with a trip over to the lighthouse.
Dinner gave me the oppotunity to pick Todd’s brain about social media, blogging and conversion. I’m looking forward to implementing some of the ideas.
The biggest difference I noticed between Newport Beach, CA and Newport, OR, it’s awfully cold out here in July.
Watch for Todd’s post on this a little later. He was going to try to post before me, but I had the advantage of not being the one driving ; )
