Christmas Tree Disposal for Costa Mesa, Newport Beach and Other Orange County Cities
It’s New Year’s Day. That means that it’s the dreaded time of the holidays, taking down holiday decorations and removing the Christmas tree.
Fortunately, it’s easy to dispose of your Christmas tree in many Orange County cities.
Costa Mesa Christmas tree disposal – The Costa Mesa Sanitary District Christmas Recycling Program is available through January 11, 2011. Just make sure the tree doesn’t exceed six feet in length and that all lights, decorations and tree stands have been removed. Put the Christmas tree next to your green containers on trash day, and they’ll be picked up by a separate truck.
Newport Beach Christmas tree recycling – Trees must be no longer than six feet and have all lights, decorations and tree stands removed. The trees should be placed next to your regular trash containers and will be picked up separately. Flocked trees will be picked up with the regular trash. This service is available the week after New Years.
Most other Orange County cities have Christmas tree recycling as well.
Typically the trees must be cut to six feet or less, and flocked trees may require special pick up or being placed in regular trash containers.
